TG Green earthenware GripStand mixing bowl
A lovely piece of classic English Kitchenalia. TG Green is well known for its Cornishware but even better known for these grip stand bowls, thanks to the Great British Bakeoff. Made in England in the 1930s, these Yellow Ware mixing bowls were designed with one flat section on one side to make it easy to tilt and mix. The addition of the green dot & green line on the interior make this bowl a rare example and were intended to show which side should be tipped as well as the maximum height for the contents inside.
Measures approx. 12.5" in diameter, and 5.5" in height. Good used condition.
A few light utensil scratches and age related discoloration due to age. Adds to the charm!
